Stour Valley Arts & Music

About SVAM

Stour Valley Arts and Music is a registered charity whose main object is to make live music available to a wider audience and thereby further the public's knowledge and appreciation of music and the arts.

We present high quality classical chamber music concerts, and illustrated art lectures given by experts.

SVAM's core Season includes five concerts and one lecture between October and April each year. Season ticket holders are automatically members of SVAM.

Each Season we aim to provide a range of concerts, some by established and well-known star performers and some by young musicians who we expect will become stars in the future.

Our concerts are held on Sunday afternoons in either St Mary's Church or the Constable Hall in East Bergholt.

In addition we usually present one or two extra events, either to provide funding for our core events or for a wider audience through educational outreach projects.

We welcome visitors to all our events. Members and audience come from a wide area around the Stour Valley and beyond. We are a friendly society and ensure that there is time for socialising at each of our events at which refreshments are served (click here for membership details).
